Best MP4 Player
An excellent MP4 player that produces better quality music than another well known brand. Songbird software is easier to use and more flexible than other software - this really enhances the product as the quality of ripped music is superior. Track selection on the Muse GoGear is very intuitive and accurate. For the first time with any player, I've managed to get all album art.

I bought the GoGear Muse as I have over 16gb of music and with very little above that amount of storage on the market the ability to install a SD card appealled, and I'm sorry to say this was the only good feature of this product.
On first impressions the product is a good size to hold and use but I found the buttons were particularly stiff to use, especially the power button which seemed to be stuck against the casing. The capacitive touch screen was responsive but I found some of the touch screen buttons too small to touch easily.
The user interface was most frustrating. Pressing the home button takes you to a menu with music and videos but a second touch screen button is then required to access the photos and settings. I'd prefer to see all options on one home screen.
Then there's the music listing. I like to listen to albums as they are from track 1 onwards but using this interface this requires more than just selecting an album. Admittedly you can use the album scroll but unfortunately this was so slow I never had the patience to get past C! When using the main artist listing page everything including the songs is listed alphabetically, so when an album is selected it plays alphabetically. The artist list also had problems displaying non English characters, and instead displayed Chinese lettering. This is being a bit picky maybe, but other players seem to manage.
The screen quality was good and colours were vibrant. I liked being able to chose a picture for the lock screen. Though after a week of use the player seemed to lose my photos and videos even though I could access them through the folder menu they weren't displayed on the home screens video and photos options. To fix this required a reset but in doing so my playlists on the go were deleted.
Overall I was unimpressed with the player. The user interface needs alot of work in my opinion. The menus don't suit my way of listening to music, and losing my photos and videos after just a week has unfortunately led me to return the product.

Extremely Poor as frequently locks and touch scree does not work properly
I am extremely disappointed with this product. I purchased it just before a 2 month holiday in Spain. My main complaints are as follows:-
1 After charging the mp4 player locks up and I have to reboot/reset it before I can use it.
2. The touch screen has a mind of its own. It can take a few minutes to select the feature you want and sometimes you have to rest it.
I am that frustrated with this product I am considering repkacing it when I get back to the UK.

The simple but elegant interface suits users of any age.
The well designed "landscape" touch screen is easy use and view.
Straightfoward to use, particularily for older users.
I found Songbird occasionally crashed with Win XP, so used other software. Never tried songbird with Win 7 Ult, as happy with present software.
Added extra memory but do not use it for video so little of original 8GB touched, which also reflects on long battery life.

Good Product But???
The Songbird download leaves a little to be desired, it is very complicated to use, compared to other media sources out there, there is nothing wrong with the sound, very good compared to similar players, but the ease of use is restricted by the Songbird application. I have reverted to Windows Media Player, which is a lot simpler to use.
Nice Player pity the Songbird lets it down.

The radio could be better, shame because I wanted to use it a lot. reception not always clear even on radio 2. I would have loved it to be digital even if I had to pay more as everything else is good and easy to use. Even finding other analogue channels is not easy so just have to stay with the Radio 2.
