SmartIQ Technology
Redefining imaging innovation. Again.
Next generation coronary imaging
The demands on interventional cardiology departments have never been higher, requiring you to deliver high-quality care to more patients, with greater precision and safety. To meet these demands, you are striving to keep high image quality while using low X-ray dose to confidently make the correct diagnosis for your treatment. Azurion Image Guided Therapy System, takes a significant leap forward with the introduction of SmartIQ, specifically for coronary procedures. A technology developed hand-in-hand with clinicians to help you meet these challenges.
See with confidence
Content-aware imaging algorithm aimed to see exactly what you need to see, from routine to the most complex coronary procedures.
Designed to reduce X-ray and contrast dose
SmartIQ includes an ultra-low dose protocol for coronary procedures that employs over 50% less X-ray radiation dose [1].
Unlock the full potential of Azurion
SmartIQ is co-created with clinicians, designed for smooth adoption into your clinical workflow.
Azurion with SmartIQ Technology
SmartIQ aims at improving image quality [2], which could enable the reduction of X-ray and contrast dose [3,4]
We provide tools that support confident decision-making for every patient, every day. We continue to advance imaging innovation, so you can focus on what matters most: delivering care that is truly close to the heart.

Footnotes
- Compared with the low ClarityIQ setting on Azurion systems, SmartIQ ultra-low left coronary 15 fps cine runs specify average reference air kerma reductions of 58% on Azurion M12 and 62% on Azurion M20 across all field sizes as stated in the IFU.
- The technology was developed with this purpose and imaqe quality was evaluated as part of an investigational device feasibility study compared to ClarityIQ.
- The radiation dose reduction potential of SmartIQ is currently investigated in the RADIQAL trial. The RADIQAL trial is a multi-center randomized clinical trial to assess the impact of SmartIQ on radiation dose compared to the current ClarityIQ while maintaining procedural performance.
