In the ambulance
Minicare cTnI may support rapid rule in of AMI at presentation of the patient, with a specificity of 97% and PPV of 80% using a rule-in cutoff of 79 ng/L. The availability of the Minicare cTnI result in the ambulance supports decision making for referral prior to reaching the ED. Minicare cTnI supports a 0/3h diagnostic protocol and test results are available within 10 minutes at the point-of-care. After initial testing in the ambulance, performing only the second Minicare cTnI test in the ED will save time and shorten the ACS pathway substantially.
In the emergency department
When time counts, delivering quicker results could help you increase patient flow, reducing crowding in a busy department. Minicare cTnI results can be rapidly available, at the same time as the ECG. You would be able to make vital decisions, on the spot, ruling in or ruling out NSTEMI as quickly as possible. Not only would this improve patient care, but also increase the efficiency of your emergency department.
