Philips appoints Simon McGuire as Health Systems Lead for United Kingdom and Ireland
Guildford, United Kingdom – Philips (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHIA), today announced the appointment of Simon McGuire as Health Systems Lead for Philips UKI. Simon McGuire will start his new role on 1st December 2017, reporting directly to Neil Mesher, CEO of Philips UKI. As part of this move Neil Mesher will provide additional focus to drive the next phase of the development of Philips as a solutions company within the UK and Ireland, while Simon McGuire will lead and expand the Health Systems business to further strengthen Philips position within the healthcare market.
Neil Mesher commenting on the appointment said, “I am delighted that Simon will be heading up the Health Systems organisation. Following his track record of success in driving business growth within the Respiratory Drug Delivery business in Chichester, I am confident that he will take the Health Systems organisation to the next level.” Previously General Manager of Respiratory Drug Delivery in Sleep and Respiratory Care, Simon McGuire brings with him more than 20 years of experience within Philips. “I’m really honoured to be taking on this new role” commented Simon, “I look forward to leading the UKI team as we work together to deliver innovative and integrated services and solutions which break down the boundaries that stand in the way of more patient-centric care.”
