We have had a Philips mobile intensifier for the last ten years, which provided excellent reliability.   Therefore, when deciding to purchase a more modern machine with WiFi capability, we again selected a Philips system.   Our previous system provided us with excellent image quality and was very user-friendly.   With the opening of our new hospital we had an opportunity to acquire new equipment, and Phillips was our first choice.   In addition, we have found Philips’ support to be first-class throughout the project.”

The Zenition 50 9” Image Intensifier allows users to work more efficiently with touch controls and navigational aids provided by Philips’ Unity workflow technology.   More time is saved with one-click exam presets and high speed wireless data handling and the intuitive ‘point and shoot’ design of the Zenition 50 helps train staff faster.   In addition, every Zenition system shares a standard windows® platform and is ready to embrace new clinical applications and service and support technologies as they evolve.

NHS Orkney is the smallest territorial health board in Scotland and is responsible for the health care of the population of Orkney, which is made up of approximately 21,500 people.   The hospital employs 650 staff and provides a comprehensive range of primary, community-based and acute hospital services.   The new hospital opened in June 2019.
