My Philips steam iron leaves wet spots when steaming

It is normal to observe a few wet spots on your garment, especially at the start of steaming. This is due to steam condensation inside your Philips steamer head.

We recommend:

When steam is ready, release the initial steam for a few seconds before you start.
It is not recommended to press the steamer head against a non-permeable surface such as a door, as it can cause condensation on the surface and transfer the wet spot onto the garment.

Alternatively, you can contact Philips Consumer Care at to purchase the StyleMat.
