What does the SAT icon on my Philips DVDR mean?

The SAT record feature will enable your DVD recorder to automatically start recording from the correct channel at the correct time when it receives a signal from a satellite receiver. If you want to use SAT record you need to connect the sattelite receiver to the EXT 2 SCART socket of the recorder and switch SAT record on in the setup menu of your recorder. You do not need to program the timer on the DVD recorder. Note: Your satellite receiver may not be able send the required signal through the SCART cable. If you are unsure whether your receiver supports SAT record, please consult its manufacturer.
