How to make my Philips VR550 remote control work again?

1) Check the batteries of your remote control 2) You can restore the factory settings of your remote control * Open the cover of the battery compartment * Take out the batteries * Press the standby-button for 10 seconds * Replace the batteries. Make sure you replace them in the right position. * Your remote control is back to factory settings now 3) Your remote control can operate two video recorders at the same time. You will see 1 or 2 in your display when you touch the buttons of the remote control. To make it work again: * Press SELECT and ?1? on the remote control of your video recorder simultaneously * When this doesn?t work: press SELECT and ?2? simultaneously
