How to record from digital channels with Philips DVDR?

This DVD recorder is equipped with an analogue tuner only. Therefore you need to connect a device with an integrated digital tuner in order to be able to receive and record digital channels. 1. Use a SCART cable to connect the TO TV socket of the Set Top Box (STB) to the EXT 2 input of the DVD recorder. 2. Switch the STB to the channel that you want to record. 3. Select EXT 2 as source on the recorder and start the recording. You can also program a timer recording. In this case you need to program the timer of the STB as well, because otherwise it may not pass the incoming digital signal to the recorder. Please keep in mind that you will not be able to watch the signal from other channels while the recording takes place.
