The 2D combfilter separates chrominance (colour) from luminance (brightness) information in the video signal for independent processing to improve picture resolution and minimise distortion.
NICAM Digital Stereo for a sharp, clear stereo sound
In certain countries, for example the UK and Belgium, TV programmes are broadcast with NICAM digital stereo sound. It offers CD-quality sound with a high immunity to noise and signal degradation. It can be used with mono, stereo and Dolby Pro Logic broadcasts. The integrated tuner of this product is fully equipped to decode the NICAM signal.
