Why is there an input on the rear panel of my Philips antenna?

    Published on 2017-08-24

This can serve Three purposes ? 1. Connection of this indoor antenna with an additional outdoor antenna. In some markets it is quite common to use an indoor antenna to receive local broadcasts from one direction, and broadcasts from a more distant area from a different direction. Simply plug the lead from the outdoor antenna into the back panel and select antenna desired using the switch on the back panel. Outdoor antenna and cable (lead) is not supplied. 2. If you have cable or satellite Set top box connected to the antenna input of your TV and want to use this antenna as a back-up to these services ? or you want to receive stations that may be different than cable or satellite. Simply plug the lead from the outdoor antenna into the back panel and select input desired using the switch on the back panel. 3. This input can also be used to switch between an additional source (Video game), and the antenna. Simply plug the lead from the additional source into the back panel and select input desired using the switch on the back panel.
