Whilst we can’t give you a single number to aim for (every baby has a different appetite!), we can tell you that in the first few months babies need at least 6 feeds in 24 hours, although most will need 8-12 feeds or more to take in enough milk. There’s no need to keep a strict tab. Simply feeding on demand and watching for early hunger signals is the best way to keep your little one’s tummy happy.
