How to get a picture on my Philips TV when I get the message “HDCP-error” on the screen or on the display of the external device?

    Published on 2019-09-10

HDCP (High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection) is a copy protection. To have picture on the TV, external devices that are connected with DVI and/or HDMI must be equipped with HDCP.

1.Verify that the external device (DVD, Set Top Box, splitter) and the TV have HDCP.

    1. Verify the connection and switch both devices off and on again.
    2. Verify that the external device has the latest software version.
