Philips AventNewborn Starter Set

Brilliant set I would recommend to anyone after a starter set, will not disappoint.

While we received this after we had our child, This kit set would be great to pack in your birthing bag, as it has everything you might need. And its compact enough that it wouldn't take up too much space.

I purchased the newborn bottle starter set as it has a variety of bottle sizes for my son. Philips avent always seems to be my go to brand when it comes to baby products and I'm really delighted with these bottles.  My breastfed baby seems happy to take them and prefers them to other brands (we have tried alot) These are very well made and you can feel the quality when holding them. They don't leak, are very comfortable to hold when feeding baby and my son doesn't seem to be suffering with colic or wind from them. Easily to wash and sterilise and compatible with the avent breast pump too. I'm really delighted I purchased these bottles and my son is very happy to switch between breast and these bottles with no fussing whatsoever. A must for all new mummys and this set has everything you need.

I had always used a different leading brand of bottles and teats for my first little girl and for a short while with my second and they always suffered from bad wind. The Avent bottles and teats do not seem to cause close to the same levels of wind in my little girl. At first, we had some trouble latching on to the bottle, being used to the different teat, but once she had figured it out there was no going back. I prefer the shape of the Avent bottles, they fit nicely in the hand and are very aesthetically pleasing. They are also very user friendly in the way that they come apart, leaving no ridges or such for bacteria to be harboured. The little bottles are the perfect size for a young baby who doesn't need too much milk and the larger bottles are great for older ones. I love the way that the pump fits onto the bottle so that there is no need to sterilize additional items. The cleaning brush is a great item to be included in the kits, as it is something that is so often neglected in bottle kits. The soft bristles are great at cleaning all around inside the bottles to ensure that milk residue isn't left behind. Great!

This product is a bundle of everything you need. The teats are the best natural ones we have come across even after trying anti colic bottles (there was no more wind with these bottles). I really like the bottle brush too, more sturdy and easy to clean bigger bottles.

We use the Philips Avent Newborn Starter Set SCD290/01 on a regular basis to feed our son with pumped breast milk. The various sized bottles appear very hygienic and our son adapt straight away to the teats.

I used the product alongside the Avent manual breast pump. What is really good about Avent is that all the breastfeeding/ bottle equipment is interchangeable. The breast pump comes with adapters that allows you to attach the bottles in this pack straight onto the pump. For those using these for just bottle feeding, they are also a great stand alone set with everything you need including a dummy and a bottle brush. The bottles come in different sizes 2x4oz and 2x9oz so can be used from newborn to older children. Plus you get size 1 and 2 teats for different flow. They also have great airflow to help prevent colic. They are easy to hold and have a nice ergonomic design. They wash lovely in the steriliser.
