    How to hide part of a title on my Philips DVDR?

    • Press the BROWSER/HDD button on the remote control to access the media browser * Use the cursor buttons to select the title that you want to edit * Press the EDIT button on the remote control * Use the cursor buttons to select VIDEO EDIT * Press the cursor rightbutton to confirm. Your recorder will start to play back the selected video while it displays a bar that represents the duration of the title * Use the cursor buttons and the fast forward and fast backward buttons to search for the beginning of the part you want to hide * Press the PAUSEbutton on the remote control to halt playback * Press the blue button (HIDE) on the remote control to set a chapter marker. The description of the blue button on screen changes from HIDE to STOP HIDE * Use the cursor buttons and the fast forward and fast backward buttons to search for the end of the part that you want to hide * Press the PAUSE button on the remote control to halt playback * Press the blue button (STOP HIDE) on the remote control to set a second chapter marker * On the time bar, the �chapter� that you just created will now appear grayed out and from now on this part will be skipped when you play back the video. The description of the blue button on screen changes back to HIDE Notes: * In the HDD menu the edited title will appear marked with a scissors symbol * If you play back the title in the EDIT mode the hidden chapter will be play back normally * If you copy the edited title to a DVD the hidden part(s) will not be copied to the DVD
