Enjoy it all - from DVD
DivX Certified for standard playback of DivX videos
With DivX support, you are able to enjoy DivX encoded videos in the comfort of your living room. The DivX media format is an MPEG4-based video compression technology that enables you to save large files like movies, trailers and music videos on media like CD-R/RW and DVD recordable discs.
12-bit/108 MHz video processing for sharp and natural images
12-bit Video DAC is a superior Digital-to-Analogue Converter that preserves every detail of the authentic picture quality. It shows subtle shades and smoother graduation of colours, resulting in a more vibrant and natural picture. The limitations of the standard 10-bit DAC become particularly apparent when it is used with large screens and projectors.
192 kHz/24-bit audio DAC enhances analogue sound input
192 kHz sampling enables you to have an accurate representation of the original sound curves. Together with a 24-bit resolution, more information is captured from the original analogue sound wave form, giving a much richer audio reproduction.

Disappointed with playback issues.
The player consistently freezes for brief moments during playback of DVD`s, normally at least once per film but aoccasionally as many as four times. These DVD`s play perfectly well on other players and I am certain is an issue with the player itself. . Issue has not arisen with DivX (AVI) files, but I have found occasionally it can have issues with DivX and not play them when other players have no problems. . This has put me off buying Philips |DVD players in the future if honest.
