2 x 50 W RMS Hi-Fi sound with Class "D" Digital Amplifier
Fill a room with your favourite music with the 2 x 50 W RMS music output power and Class "D" Digital Amplifier. The Amplifier takes an analogue signal, converts it into a digital signal and then amplifies it. The signal then enters a demodulation filter to produce the final result. The amplified digital output delivers all the advantages of digital audio, including improved sound quality. The Amplifier also has more than 90% efficiency compared to a traditional AB amplifier. This high efficiency translates into a powerful amplifier with a small footprint.
FM radio
FM radio uses frequency modulation (FM) to provide high-fidelity sound over broadcast radio. This broadcast technology allows you to listen to your favourite radio stations on the FM band.
Playback iTunes music
Now you can playback music from your iTunes library—without the need for any conversion—on your Philips Hi-Fi system! Supporting AAC codec used by iTunes library to rip and store music, simply install the TwonkyMedia software that comes with the system in order to access, select and play music from your iTunes library and playlists - wirelessly. Please note that the system does not support DRM-protected music purchased from the iTunes store.

Future proof technology. Simply brilliant.
The streamium Wi-Fi system is a versatile compact unit unit with features to please anyone. It is a very clever device that enables you to listen to internet radio or stream music from your PC. It has a usb capability with standard cd player included. It also has FM radio with preset stations for you to include. The only two negative points I can find are : a. CD player will not read the disc to display names of songs! However, It will tell you the number of songs on a cd. : b. I find the system a little slow when trawling through lots of stored album files (from PC or usb). Do I sound picky! Make no mistake. This system is fantastic and well worth the money. It is powerful and elegant and the service from Phillips is second to none. Congratulations on a great product.

Crystal-clear sound at a very reasonable price
this is the second Streamium Micro system I have purchased. I have it installed in my own bedroom. I find soft background music a great help when falling asleep and have always preferred the "wireless" to the tv. There are an infinite range of internet stations available-not to mention FM and a HQ Compact Disc Player. The first Stremium is in my Study. When I do work, i am an Academic in Neuroscience
