Digital PhotoFrame with battery

I bought this for my mums 80th Birthday and she loves it , all her favourite photos are displayed and when she is fed up with them changing she can keep a static photo on show -

Had been looking through many reviews and websites to get a high quality picture frame. Had made the mistake of getting a cheap frame which was dull and foggy – so decided to get a +£120 frame. Finally decided this Philips and am very pleased with my homework skills. It’s a luxurious looking frame especially in white. The main reason i chose this however is the simple dock, so that when friends come over it can be picked up and passed round on it’s long life battery power, rather than the usual ‘mass group huddle’. Operation is really simple, with touch sensitive light up buttons on the edge of the frame... a really nice touch is that these disappear upon photo viewing so no distractions and no visible buttons anywhere to be seen. There are too many options to mention here, but have set my frame up to randomly select photos from the 1Gb internal memory and an 8Gb SDHC card i purchased. The frame can also ‘autofit’ the pictures so you don’t get any loss of picture size – however this does mean that i lost the heads off a few of my family members going from portrait to landscape view...but a quick crop later on my PC, they are back again. Using the auto ‘on’, ‘off’ timer - i now come home to bright smiling faces (until the real family turn up). My only criticism of this brilliant frame, is the 80’s feel software it comes with. I gave up using it and just organise / crop pictures using Windows explorer and Googles Picasa. Would heartily recommend this frame to anyone who wants a top top quality frame and picture to go with it...

The rechargeable battery is the feature that sets this photoframe apart, as you can take your photos anywhere to show family and friends. The styling is good and although the menu system is rather clunky and not easy to use, overall this is a great bit of kit.

Leuk digitaal lijstje, Alleen loopt hij regelmatig vast. steeds weer resetten is tijdelijke oplossing. Helaas zijn er nergens updates te vinden. ook de thema klok die ingebouwd is, nergens is er een update voor te vinden... jammer

eigenlijk niets mis mee, behalve het feit dat het apparaat minstenss 1 maal per maand na het opstarten gereset moet worden omdat hij op de beginklok blijft hangen. Ik had eigenlijk wel nieuwe software verwacht, maar er is geen onderhoud gepleegd door Philips

Ik ben tevreden over gebruiksgemak en de kwaliteit van het beeld. Ook de filmpjes opgenomen met video camera en fototoestel zien er mooi uit. Bij mij zijn het avi filmpjes .

Auf dem Papier hat dieses Gerät überzeugende Qualitäten, wie z.B. Bluetooth (um die Photos zu übertragen) oder drahtloser Betrieb dank wiederaufladbarem Akku. Leider ist die Software auf dem Gerät mangelhaft und nimmt die ganze Freude weg. Stürzt oft ab (Gerät muss neugestartet werden), Bildwiedergabe bleibt bei gewissen Dateiformaten stecken oder stürzt ab. Auch die Reaktionszeit ist schlecht (schwache CPU). Habe das Gerät in die Reparatur geschickt. Es kam mit dem gleichen Defekt zurück. Firmware update leider nicht möglich oder eine bessere Firmware ist nicht vorhanden.

bgesehen von der geringen benutzerfreundlichkeit wäre ein SW-update bei einem Markengerät wichitig und könnte einige der Mängel beheben. Mein wichtigstes Theme: der Akku funktiooiert nicht mhr: was machee ich ?? Die Support-Seite gibt da keine Antwort... Das Gerät war ein Geschenk daher kann ich die Rubriken unten nicht ausfüllen
