I don't get a close shave with my OneBlade

If you're dissatisfied with the closeness of your shave with Philips OneBlade, please try the following:

  • Shave against the grain. Unlike a traditional razor, OneBlade works best when you shave against the direction of hair growth. This lifts the hairs and channels them to the cutting element.
  • Use the fingers of your free hand to hold the skin taut. This can help lift the hairs, making them easier to cut, and provides a smooth surface for the blade to slide across.
  • Keep the blade flat against your skin and apply steady, consistent pressure - there's no need to press hard.
  • Make sure that your blade is in good condition, replacing it when you start to notice a decrease in performance.

While OneBlade is not designed to cut as close as some other products (e.g. Philips rotary shavers), following these tips allows you to get the best possible shave with your OneBlade.
