1. IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light.
Gentle pulses of light are absorbed by the roots of your hair.
2. These pulses of light cause the hair follicles to go into a resting phase.
The hair sheds naturally, and growth is reduced for a certain number of months.
3. Hair does not grow continuously: it grows in cycles.
Not all the hairs in one area are growing at the same time. Since IPL is only effective on hair that is actively growing, it is important to repeat treatments as indicated.
