    Published on 2019-11-17

It is important to clean and sterilise your Philips Avent sippy cups regularly and after each use. Below you will find more information on how to clean and sterilise them.

    Cleaning the sippy cup's container

To clean the sippy cup's container, simply clean it with mild soapy water or by putting it in the dishwasher. Follow the steps below:

    1. Disassemble the cup
    2. If cleaning a sink, clean the cup using a soft brush with a mild washing soap and rinse with clean water
    3. If using a dishwasher, make sure that the bottle is on the top rack

Sterilising the sippy cup with boiling water

Before you sterilise your sippy cup in boiling water, make sure that you thoroughly clean your cup using clean water and mild soap first. Once cleaned, follow the steps below:

    1. Disassemble the cup
    2. Bring plenty of water to a boil
    3. Place all parts in boiling water for 5 minutes

Note: To prevent deformation and damage, make sure that the cup and its parts do not touch each other or the side of the pan.

Note: If you have a Philips Avent insulated straw cup, it is important to not boil or sterilise the bottle with steam or a microwave steriliser. Doing this will damage the product. The cap and straw of the insulated straw cup can be sterilised.
