My SmartClean station is not working properly

SmartClean is overflowing


1) If shaver had been rinsed before putting in SmartClean

  • yes, then liquid level in cartridge may increase above max level and overflow the station
  • no:

2) If customer tilted the station with cartridge inside

  • yes, then take cartridge out, dry the station and put cartridge back in.
    If issue reappears proceed with warranty options
  • no, then proceed according to warranty options

Shaver not being cleaned properly


1) If SmartClean is working at all

  • no:
    make sure the station is plugged to the mains. If no result, then proceed according to warranty options
  • yes (station is working, results are unsatisfactory):

2) How much hair is left

  • some hair left, then it is completely normal, it's best to rinse and shake the shaver before putting in SmartClean
  • a lot of hair left:

3) Is the arrow symbol lighting up?

  • Yes, then replace cartridge
  • no:

4) Was the cartridge replaced recently?

  • no, then replace cartridge
  • yes:

5) If still no solution, then reset the station:

  • unplug form mains, wait for 10 seconds and plug it back in.
    If issue is still there, then proceed according to warranty options

Random switching off / lights blinking irregularly

1) Unplug the SmartClean from the mains, wait for 10 seconds and plug it back again.

2) If the issue is still there, then proceed according to warranty options.

What does the sticker on the neck of the SmartClean mean?

It reminds to shake the shaver before putting in SmartClean.
Remains of water may cause to overflow the cartridge.

The [replace cartridge] indicator never lights up, SmartClean used below 3 months

  • SmartClean measures liquid level in the replaceable cartridge. Indicator lights up when liquid level is too low.
    If the shaver is rinsed before placing in SmartClean liquid level in the cartridge may be at the same level.

  • Despite the indicator not lighting up cartridge has to be replaced every 3 months due to hygienic reasons.

The shaver was in the SmartClean and it was cleaned but not charged

Shaver is charged after cleaning is over. Make sure to lerave the shaver in the SmartClean after cleaning session is
complete to charge the device properly.
