Is my new Philips cartridge still usable if the colour is different from the box?

Your Philips anti-scale cartridge may have a mixture of blue and brown colours when you unpack it from the box for the first time, which is normal. It can still be used even though the image might differ from the one on the box. Replace your Philips cartridge with a new one only when it turns completely brown.
