Beardtrimmer series 5000waterproof beard trimmer

i first buy one of this in 2016 after 2 years i lost it(was stolen from my luggage) i buy another one in 3/08/2018 and today 04/10/2023 it goes down ( it charges but the battery last 3 minutes) my only disappointment is that is no longer available....old model ...probably obsolete. now i don't know which model to buy as i was in love of this one .

I have used my Philips trimmer a couple of times so far and it has been so much better than my last 2 trimmers. This one seems to run faster, more quiet, doesn't snag my hair and gives an even cut whereas my previous cutters left long hairs that I had to trim later. It's also easy to set hair length and to clean. I have not tried to use the trimmer in the shower as I am concerned about blocked drains!! After 2 uses it hasn't needed charging yet which is also better than my previous trimmers.

Super product, love it how smoothly it floats. Only one down side or maybe its just me, the 0.4mm does not look true as before this i was using a different trimmer which at its lowest was 0.5mm but for some reason i feel it was cutting much closer than the Philips one.

I bought this product in good faith as I have used Phillips products all my life. When I find a brand I like I stick to it. I’m so saddened by this particular product. I have used this a handful of times, it does t hold it’s charge, even from New I had to trim plugged in, now a few months down the line and it switches on for a millisecond then switches off (whilst plugged in). This is making me want to steer away from Phillips in future now as my confidence in their products is slowly slipping away.

The beard trimmer stopped working after about 3 months occasional use. The battery was charged, the button pressed and it works for about a second before shutting down again. After a robust clean the shaver worked for a minute before experiencing the same issue. Avoid this beard trimmer at all costs

Most men shave in the bathroom, and that is where they keep their razors, trimmers and chargers etc. Until I bought this trimmer that's what I did but now I have a problem as it comes with an oversize three pin charger plug. To charge it I have to take the trimmer to where I can plug the charger in because, guess what, I have no three pin sockets in my bathroom. It's not even as if it's a good trimmer, it clogs up easily, it is not easy to remove the head for cleaning (and the instructions are not good) and its performance is adequate at best. I am so disappointed, I have used and enjoyed Philips products for years and this is way below the normal standard. I may well send it back.
