SmartTouch-XLElectric shaver

I bought it around 2009 and I am using it since every day. It was working good. The first failure was the orange bumpers it has. I forced to do a magic fix with drops of fast glue, and "rebuild" the cracked bumpers. After 16 years (2025) it does not charge, the screen froze at 75%, and few days ago the screen gone completely. I was cleaning the machine every week, and also I was putting special oil in the appropriate points in the heads. It is a goos shaving machine. I have a Panasonic too, but Philips is a Philips!!! better shaving.

Purchased Feb 2009. Review Nov 2014. Rubber / nitrile suspension started to fail or perish after about 3 years. Head holder is 3 movable sections pivoting in a triangular outer frame. This started to fall apart a couple of months ago. Now the components fall out when shaving. Used about 1/4 of the time. Mostly when working away or when sailing. Used protective case and packed when not at home. Heads washed after most shaves except when water was short. Brushed & sprayed head with Philips cleaner every few shaves. Full clean at recharge (after about 14 uses). Heads changed for genuine parts every 2 years. Previously recommended to fellow crew or when asked about model in locker room. Recently started to fall to bits. My previous Philishave was used for 20 years and still works. (1988 to 2009). Replaced with HQ9199 as present.
