I was lucky enough to get this product for free in return for an honest review. I have used this product for the last few weeks on my lower back, hip and around the knee. Getting Started: It's extremely easy to use with one of the heads detaching to be charged from a mains adapter, the other head is home to the on/off button. When charging the light on the unit is orange, when in use it is green. Install the Philips treatment app and the device will sync with your phone, this then opens up all the treatment options. Use: The unit comes with two sticky backed electrodes which you place on the areas indicated by the app according to where you wish to treat. I have used the electrodes over 20 times now and they are just beginning to lose their adhesive ability (easily replaceable at reasonable cost). The unit fits on to the electrodes and you select the treatment type from the app - they include deep massage, muscle stimulation, radiating massage and many more, each treatment option can go up to an intensity of 60. As a guide I was able to work up to using deep massage at 60 on my lower back (initially high intensity caused a slight sting on the skin but I got used to it and it decreased), however anything over 40 on my quad made it jump around like mad! Depending on the program the time might be preset to 30 mins, this can be increased by hitting refresh which will restart the preset timer without stopping the treatment if you want longer. Results: My lower back has benefited hugely from this device, I have definitely noticed less tightness and the associated discomfort after a heavy gym session if I am able to use it later the same day. Obviously it can't replace a full sports massage but it's excellent for extending the time between them. I noticed less impact on my leg/knee pain but there is a high chance that this is ligament/cartilage damage so that's not unsurprising. I used this on lower back, hip and knee the day after completing a Tough Mudder and I'm pretty sure it helped to reduce the muscle soreness and was certainly preferable to using foam roller! Overall: A great piece of kit - portable, simple to use, long lasting battery life and offers many options.

The Pulserelief since having it has quickly become one of my favourite small devices which I use very regularly. What makes this product so good, in my opinion, is that it is controlled via app. The app allows you to select the area of the body for pain relief and filters specific programs for that pain relief and then a continuously variable intensity. Overall a very easy to use product that you can pretty much use without needing instructions on how to use, and that also does perform very well giving the required pain relief and muscle relaxation wanted without the use of pain killers ect.

It is extremely easy to get started and great that it has so many preset programmes - with descriptions in the app about each programme and what the benefits are. Although you won't do any harm on any of these, I found 3 or 4 that I really liked and found very effective for my own pain. The app reminds you to track your pain and coping ability on a day to day basis (but can be bypassed) and also automatically tracks what programmes you have used. I found the pain relief lasted after I stopped using the product and this effect was cumulative, meaning that after a month I can get the benefit I need using the product for a few days a week.

Effectively helps muscular pain. Would recommend to anybody!

Like many of us, for a number of years I have regularly suffered with various long-standing aches and pains in my body. In particular, across the upper and lower parts of my back. I have trialled and tested many home remedies including massage, pain killers and using various tens machines, to overcome the persistent issue of my back pain. It wasn't until now that I have recently tried and tested the Philips PulseRelief and I am happy to say that I would recommend this product to anyone. Quite simply, the device did exactly what it said on the tin and successfully managed to fulfill its purpose by providing me with an alternative method of pain relief. The product itself was able to provide targeted and focused pain relief to the areas that cause pain in my body through the use of the easy to use application that marries the device up to a Bluetooth device such as an iPhone or Android. Easy to follow instructions are provided and the device reminds you when your treatments are due. Battery life is great and the device can be charged by USB. I found this particularly useful as I travel a lot on business so I was able to charge whilst on the go. The only minor issue I can see is that after a long while after a long spout of treatment, I can see the sticky pads may need replacing after losing their stickiness. However I am sure this is a common issue with similar competitive products that exist in the market. Overall. I am happy to say that after using the Philips PulseRelief in combination with regular accupuncture sessions, I have been able to notice a slight improvement in reduced back pain and overall posture. Therefore I would therefore say that this product worked for me and can successfully be used as a means of treating muscle related aches and pains that you may have.
