Shaver series 5000 PowerTouchdry electric shaver

Considering I have had my shaver for 7 years, and the previous owner had it for a number of years before that, I have NOTHING to complain about from my shaver. Between the previous owner and myself, there was a period of about 2 years it wasn't used... I charged it up and away it went... and has been giving good shaving time between charges. I haven't had to change anything, the heads, the holders, the charger, everything is still as I got it. My son now uses it as well, it's a brilliant shaver. I'm looking now for another one for my son... but this models been discontinued !!! SAD !!!

I have only ever used Philips razors for my daily shave ( for 63 years), initially a two head mains model, the rechargeable ones. I replaced worn ones or those where the batteries failed with new Philips products because I happy with the features and particularly the customer service - very good if I had problems during or even just after the warranty period.

The service from Philips re replacement free of charge of a similar model by this model was second to none. Where I can I will always buy philips products.

My shaver is now 7 years old. It has been totally reliable , easy to use and has given me countless good shaves, corded or cordless I wouldn’t hesitate in buying this model again

This is a very versatile shaver. It can be used in the shower or outside. It can be used with shaving gel, foam or similar products. The charge lasts for a long time and has the option to "quick charge" if required. It gives a really good shave.

Delighted with this electric shaver. I have a skin condition and I am able to shave without irritating my skin. It is quiet, batteries last and happy with the shave. I have accidentally hit the off button during use but now I am aware it doesn't cause any problems. Like able to clean heads under tap - hygienic. Would have liked a travel case to store accessories etc.

Other than a brief period of using another brand I have used Philips Shavers since the mid 1960's. The last one was purchased in 2011 and was only replaced in 2018 as the heads were becoming worn (the recommendation is to replace every two years but they were still pretty good after7 years) as was the battery which still lasted well and charged up rapidly. It is reasonably quiet to use, and does the job quickly and effortlessly. It charges very quickly and the charge lasts a long time - over two weeks for me. I have noticed that the plug on the charger is now using thinnger prongs, they still fit the British Shaver point but suspect that it will now fit European sockets - the previous one needed an adapter.
