The battery of my Philips Lumea runs out very quickly

    Published on 18 October 2024

Treating your entire body is not possible with one battery charge. To make optimal use of your battery, we recommend starting your treatment using the device uncorded for more manoeuvrability for treating the harder to reach areas, such as the bikini area, face and armpit. If you run out of battery later, you can finish larger areas such as your legs while using your Lumea corded.

Using your device corded has the advantage that it takes less time to charge up between flashes, which is more convenient when treating larger areas.

Charging the lamp for a high intensity flash each time requires a lot of power. If your Lumea battery is fully charged, the device can produce about 130 flashes at the highest setting (approx. 8 minutes of use).

Although it sounds obvious, first check if your device is equipped with a battery. Models without a battery still come with a detachable power adapter, which can easily lead to the assumption that the device is battery powered, while it is not.

If your device has a battery icon on top, it is battery powered (see image – highlighted in yellow).

Lumea IPL models with a battery are: BRI95X, BRI97X, BRP958.
