Test your skin’s reaction before treating a new body area or after exposing your skin to sunlight unprotected
Click on the attachment for the area you want to treat.
It is recommended to use Lumea out of direct sunlight. The sunlight can influence the SmartSkin sensor.
The 5 light intensity indicators above the power button will light up continuously from left to right and back, until you place Lumea on your skin.
Press the power button to toggle through the settings and select your highest comfortable setting that did not result in any skin reactions.
Place Lumea on your skin. The ready-to-flash light will light up white.
DO NOT continue the treatment if you experience pain. Reduce the light intensity setting or stop using Lumea.
DO NOT flash the same spot multiple times during a treatment. The surface of the attachment should overlap the previous spot to make sure you flash the complete skin area, but treating the same area multiple times does not increase performance.
Press the flash button. Move to an adjacent spot and flash again.
DO NOT start or resume using Lumea within 4 weeks after exposing your skin to sunlight unprotected (natural sun or tanning bed) or within 2 weeks after artificial tanning (creams, sprays or pills).
Do a skin test before starting/ resuming your treatment, see section ‘Test your skin’.
