This is a great addition to our family! This is a great addition to our family - for the first time I do not have a pile of ironing high enough to crush a small child.
I managed to whip through the clothes that had been crushed and crumpled at the bottom of the pile in no time.
Yes it is large and investment in a new ironing board was required but the ease at which it zips through a variety of clothing makes that all worth while.
It genuinely does work on all fabrics and there is no need for any temperature adjustments - no sorting of clothing pre ironing.
With a large water reservoir there is no need to refill every 10 minutes although I should warn it can be a little noisy in the initial heating up phase - I was worried I had broken it already!
Ideally you need somewhere to leave it set up or a back up iron for those emergency shirts as its does take a little time to set up.
It galls me to say it but ironing is no longer a chore and even my husband has had a go!

So easy to use. This Iron is one of the best that I have used, it just needs a lock to hold the iron in place.
Good anti-calc system.

Very disappointingIron has pretty much leaked water on and off since purchase - despite being kept flat and stable. Decal button has never worked properly (I decalced it regularly without waiting for light). Now the water tank light doesn't want to go off and flashes along with the decalc button which has never previously worked. After initial puchase I contacted customer services who told me to return product to shop however, they needed the receipt to accept the product which I had thrown out. So I struggled on with it. Very disappointed with spending so much on an iron to having such a poor product and customer service advice. I am delighted now the iron seems to be broken as I can purchase a new non-Philips iron and hopefully not have so many issues with my new one! The downside is of course having spent so much on the iron in the first place I was hoping it would at least last five years.

Very efficientThis steam generator is great, it get hot quickly and glides over the fabric being ironed. The extra steam burst very quickly and easily removes stubborn creases. The reservoir is a great size and there is no need to replace a filter every 6-8 weeks like some generator's.
Being picky the only negative I have found is the ease of lifting the generator from one place to another.

Wow... I am so Impressedi saw the next model up being demo'd in John Lewis and the lady was so informative and I could handle it and try if before a bought it otherewise I would never have even given it a second glance.
I cannot believe how smooth and easy it is to iron, there is no need to turn the garment over as the steam is so good it does both sides at once, halving your ironing time. The iron itself is so light and glides over the garment, even jeans were a doddle to iron.
Down sides are
when storing it away the cables are hard to force back into their holes would be good if there was an easy way to store the 2 leads.
The base is large and limited where I can do my ironing from
However saying that I would NEVER go back to a traditional iron..
I would like to know if I can iron my duvet cover while on the bed though so would appreciate advice here then my bed can look perfect when made.
