LED TV

great tv with superb sound and easy to use menu. excellent quality as i am used from philips. i am origin dutch so stay loyal to homegrown products. philips has always been a favourite of mine.

I was very impressed with everything i found on its arrival, well packaged, the handsett is the simplest i have ever seen. The manual is very good but you do have to download it first and print the few pages you need, as there is only a very simple menu and buttons quick start leaflet. By the time you have set your personal preferences you should be well in control. apart from a few picture adustment i am happy with the preset options. The prog guide is large and clear and the picture qualiy is excellent, it works well with the Freesat HD PVR, in other words i am well pleased , so much so that when my daughter moves into her new house i will be ordering one for them

Very easy to set up and use, also easy to upgrade (firmware). Great compatability with Philips DVD Player, USB connection great for viewing my photographs. Easy to retune after digital switchover, with no problems at all. Great features, would recommend to anyone.

Overall we are very happy with this. Picture quality is excellent and sound good by the usual standards of very thin TVs. Connecting peripherals mostly easy, though deleting them remains a puzzle. Connecting a computer via the VGA input socket proved troublesome, though very easy via an HDMI input. For those reasons we give a 4* rather than 5* rating for "ease of use".

This TV has exceeded my expectations. It is my first LCD TV and I had decided to wait until a suitable LED backlit one was available. The picture quality is stunning, even in SD, and in all lighting conditions. It was very easy to set up (which is probably why it has the smallest instruction book I've ever seen!) The sound quality is also very good, and can be further enhanced by using the digital sound out feature to link to your hi-fi (through a D/A converter if necessary). All in all a highly capable TV in a very stylish package and highly recommended.

I have always found the older CRT televisions always had the most natural picture quality, flat screen ones producing very garish over coloured pictures, regardless of setting. Fine for games, but unable to do justice to a quality film or programme. This Philips TV however has sufficient adjustments, especially with picture tint and gamma to produce the closest match yet and side by side, there is little in it. Ease of adjustment and using the menus are very intuative. Good that you can have settings for different inputs. My only crtisism is the lack of an analogue sound output, my hifi does not have a digital input and there is sometimes a noticable delay in the video processing comapred to the sound via the hifi, resulting in noticable lip sync problems.

Nu echt wel een hele late reactie maar deze televisie heb ik bijna 10 jaar super plezier van gehad maar ga nu toch over naar een nieuwe (Philips 905 55 inch). Maar heb vandeze veel plezier gehad en zal hem in de slaap kamer nog gebruiken !!

Het is een televisie met erg mooi beeldscherm. Natuurlijke kleuren en haarscherp.
