This tv has really good quality and the amblight is a great feature. My daughter who had a incredible attachment to this was heartbroken when it stoped working , she has been trying to find the same tv for months now she has the remote and still gets very upset at the fact that she can’t find her tv.

This TV has a great picture in Standard Definition mode, which is so good I often forget to change feeds to high Definition. I wasn't sure about the Ambilight feature when I ordered it, but I am so impressed by this that I will always want it on any new TV as it really enhances the viewing experience.

I have used this TV for a number of years now, and the four things that stand out about it is the clarity and sharpness of the picture, the ambilight feature - good for backlighting whilst watching films in the dark, the sound quality of the virtual surround sound and the many different audio/video connections (especially the digital). The only - admittedly small - con of this TV is the menu system for setting up the sound output options etc. - the menu's work on many different levels and are sometimes buried deeply within the initial menu, meaning a lot of remote-control manipulation to to access them. Overall, I am very happy with this product!

i spent a lot of time comparing tvs in the shops (not in the internet!) and this model by far had the best picture. SD looks as good as HD and HD looks fantastic! the sound quality is superb too, great for audiophiles. very recommended.

This television has been absolutely brilliant - every time I turn it on I'm amazed by how good the picture is. Put a Blu-Ray on and it'll blow you away. The details and colours are superb. Then you have the Ambilight. I know you have to pay for it and Philips do make you pay - but it is great to see your entire wall bathed in the same colour as whatever is on the screen. It really does add to the mood.

This Philips is my first entry into flat screen tvs, my previous TV was also a Philips 37" CRT, but compared to this was a monster in size and weight. The 47" is a perfect size for my 5 metre square room as our sofa is back against the far wall - in fact it is now beginning to actually look small! Perhaps I will have to upgrade to a 56" 21:9 (Lol). I am very impressed by the features and love watching 1080p movies. Really cannot fault this TV and highly reccomend.

Heb al ruim 4 jaar dagelijks veel plezier van deze ambi-light t.v. Zeer veelzijdig product met prachtig beeld en uitstekend geluid. Eenvoudige bediening middels robuuste afstandsbediening. Met handige internetverbinding voor o.a. programma gemist. Mooi design.
