Worse Philips iron i ever usedI've been a faithfull Philips customer for some years now, and not only with irons, but these latest purchase, the philips Azur Performer Plus iron, is a BIG disappointment for me! I bought it to replace my old Philips Azur which i had for about 3 years but failed to deliver steams eventually. The new one has a lot of issues and transformed by pleasure in ironing in a dragging task which lately i don't do with pleasure. First it only delivers proper steams amount by pressing the busting button on the handle, otherwise the amount will not even touch the creases on some of the garnets, the cord is unprecedently short, so good luck with ironing sheets, duvet covers or table cloths, and last but not least, the cap that covers the water tank is so poorly, ( not sure if i have a faulty item or is poorly designed generally in for this model), that it continnuously leeks when irroning, regardless of the tank being filled up to the marked line or less. My ironing board is always wet when i iron! Never happened with previous Philips irons ( i think this is my fourth one)! very, very disappointed in this latest purchase, i didn't return it as i'm pregnant in my last trimester and realy needed the steams for my baby cloths and could not get that from my former iron! If looking for a Philips Azur iron, you might be better off with older models! Thank you for taking the time to read my review

Auto Off Feature is GreatBeen working very well over the past few months, my favorite feature is the auto-off! Few occasions of forgotten of removing the power plug, it shuts of itself off. Peace of Mind. Must have future for future irons!

Good but cable too shortHaving used Philips Azur irons previously, I was keen to buy another one when my old one eventually developed a fault. I'm pleased with the design and performance of this latest model. It provides a great amount of steam and gives excellent results without being too heavy. It also heats up and is ready for use remarkably quickly and I like the anti-calc features.
Unfortunately I find the 2m cable too short on this model. Even with a socket close to the ironing board the cable doesn't allow adequate reach so I've had to use an extension cable. Previous models I've owned had 3m or 2.5m cables which were much better, and this is particularly disappointing considering the premium price. Also why do they no longer include a plastic filling jug which presumably would only cost a few pence to manufacture?
Although not a real problem, the thermostat is a little easy to move, particularly as the new design with a trigger spray under the handle reduces the space for your fingers and it's easy to accidentally adjust the temperature.
In my opinion this would be a nearly perfect iron if only they'd use a less stingy cable length.

Gets rid of creases brilliantlyI had a Phillips Azur iron before for a number of years and was really happy with it. But recently the cable developed a fault so we replaced it with another manufacturer's iron which we got at a very cheap price. What a let down it was. We struggled to get rid of creases from our clothes and it would not warm up properly! So we decided to get this Phillips iron and from the first use we were really impressed with it. It warmed up really fast and removed the most stubborn creases. The smile on my wife's face was worth more than all the money we paid for this. The things I can complain about this iron is that the cord is too short, the indicator arrow on the temperature dial is quite difficult to see and the switch for the water spray is a bit big so sometimes gets in the way when you are holding the iron. Apart from these minor faults, I'm very impressed by the iron's performance!

Cable too shortReplaced my faithful Philips iron with a newer model only to find that the cable is so short that even standing next to the wall I am unable to reach the end of my ironing board. Performance is great, easy to use but I never expected to have to check the cable length. Very disappointed.

Good modifications to productThis is my third Philips Azur iron.
The first one was great, the second not great and this one (only used for 1 week) seems to be a keeper.
I checked all the review sites before purchase and I'm hoping it will continue to please.
Love the additional clip for the wire. Not so sure about the location of the boost of steam button nor the water spray. my hands are not big enough to reach the spray button. I also hope I do not accidentally press the steam. I did a range of fabrics ironing and was really impressed with performance on cotton bedding & linen shirts.

Highly recommendedVery pleased with this iron. In comparison to previous irons I have owned, this product is far superior in terms of both speed, ease of use and quality of finish. I am able to achieve great results in half the time and I am especially impressed by the select auto steam setting which leaves my clothes well presented and in perfect condition. I am also pleased that the iron features a quick calc release as this reassures me that it is built to last.

Nice design, cord far too shortThis irons well but for the money the cord is far too short (1 metre less than my previous Philips iron).
