It is normal for your PerfectDraft machine to make some noise during normal operation. If you believe that the noise is louder than usual, read the article below for possible causes and solutions.
The PerfectDraft machine contains a compressor, which is responsible for cooling the beer keg and maintaining the correct temperature. Because of this, you may hear a humming or buzzing sound, which is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about. However, if you notice any unusual or excessively loud noises coming from your PerfectDraft machine, this could be a sign of an issue. Some of the most common noises you will hear coming from a PerfectDraft machine include: Soft continuous sound Because the appliance chills constantly, the fan works continuously. Noise when pouring beer The pump may come on while you are pouring beer in order to maintain the right pressure. This is the machine maintaining pressure. Noise when not pouring beer, periodically The pump may come on while you are pouring beer in order to maintain the right pressure. This is the machine maintaining pressure. "Hissing" noise Please check if the tap unit is correctly connected to the keg and ensure that you rinse the tap unit thoroughly. All the rubber parts of the tap unit must be moist before you assemble it onto the keg. Make sure that the tap unit is pushed down fully onto the keg and that the release buttons on both sides of the tap unit stick out equally far on both sides (please see the picture below). If not, you will hear air escaping. If air is still escaping and the tap unit is fully attached, contact us for further assistance.
