My Philips SmartSleep Snoring Relief Band is not vibrating

    Published on 2021-02-17
If your Philips SmartSleep Snoring Relief Band is not working or vibrating when you put it on, try our troubleshooting advice to solve this issue.

The snoring relief band only works if its sensor is in contact with your chest. In case, it is positioned on your back or too high or low on your chest, it may not vibrate or may vibrate too intensely.
Make sure that the sensor is completely inserted into the pouch and is correctly positioned. The activation button should point towards your chin. The display of the sensor should be visible through the window of the pouch. It should not be positioned upside down or reversed, because then the sensor will not vibrate properly and will result in low effectiveness.
Centre the pouch with the sensor in front of your torso, just below your chest. Close the strap tightly with the clip. The strap should fit snugly on your chest, but should also feel comfortable.
For the best results, wear the strap on bare skin. If you have applied any body lotion on your skin, make sure it is completely absorbed before putting on the band.

Positioning the SmartSleep Snoring Relief Band
The adaptation phase is active for the first seven sleep sessions. If you reset the device, the adaptation phase restarts.  Throughout the first seven sessions, the sensor gradually increases the frequency and intensity of the vibrations. From the 8th sleep session, you can expect a vibration every time you turn to your back.

Once you put on the SmartSleep Snoring Relief Band, you have to activate the sleep session for it to start working. Press and hold the activation button for two seconds to start a sleep session. To indicate that the sleep session has started, the sensor vibrates briefly and shows '- -' (2 dashes).

    Starting a sleep session
Once you start a sleep session, the sensor starts vibrating 30 minutes after a sleep position is detected. This allows you to fall asleep on your back if you want to. This means that during the first half hour of your sleep session, you will feel no vibrations.
