It heats up quickly and removes creases effectively

It was a replacement for an iron that was broken. This iron is the next level up from the last iron. Very pleased with the customer service.

This is the third time we have purchased this model. Good all round performer, nice long power lead, comfortable to use, glides over the clothes without sticking,easy to keep clean and if descaling routine is performed regularly does not spit calcium onto the ironing. Only complaint is that every one we have owned has expired at about 27 months, just when it is out of warranty. Perhaps we will have better luck with this one

It's the iron I've been searching for, for years! It gets hot enough to use as a dry iron and get a superb result. I've been through so many irons over the last 10/15 years only to find after purchase that a half decent result is only obtained by the copious use of steam. Meaning the garment is too damp to put straight away. Over the last couple of days I have ironed (amongst other things), a slightly damp, fine cotton sheet and a cotton cardigan that came off the line completely dry and very creased. Both came up beautifully without steam and when I iron the iron has to do its job in one sweep! I only hope it lasts longer than some reviewers have found.

... and I wasn't disappointed! Light, easy to use, good length flex, not tried the steam function yet. Cracking deal on Amazon.

The wife need a new iron so with Christmas just around the corner decided to spoil her, opted for the, philips Azur Performer Plus Steam iron GC4526/87, she seems to like it, and the quality of the ironing has improved, Happy Days.

So far, so good. Doesn't leak and the soleplate doesn't stick, perfectly satisfactory

I've now had this iron for a few months and have given myself time to properly evaluate its performance. The first thing I noticed about it is the difference in weight, and therefore ease of use, compared to my 10 year older Azur. Not sure if it'll hold up as long, as the build seems less robust than my old Azur, but it's such a joy to use and makes my ironing nights just that little less of a chore. It just seems to glide effortlessly across my ironing.. so easy to manoeuvrer, and feels so comfortable in my hand. I have quite painful osteoarthritis in my hands, but this iron is so light and comfortable to hold that I'm able to easily attack the dreaded ironing. A good length of cord ensures I can walk around the board to do all parts without having to stop to sort the cord. Great steam available at the push of a button.. but rarely ever needed. So far, really happy with this model of Philips Azur. Performs as awesome as it looks!

Having recently purchased our1st Philips Iron, the Azur performer plus, I am very pleased with all the features it possesses. The steam feature is the best I have ever had, and sheets seem to "fly" under it.
