Start by applying a pea-sized amount of toothpaste.
Hold the toothbrush with a light fingertip grip. This will help eliminate the impulse to scrub or apply too much pressure.
Think of your mouth as being divided into segments. Your toothbrush will vibrate when it’s time to move to the next segment.
Gently glide the brush along the gumline at a 45-degree angle.
When brushing behind the teeth, tilt the handle semi-upright and make several vertical overlapping brushstrokes on each tooth.
Continue brushing all chewing surfaces, maintaining a gliding movement.
Remove the brush head from the handle and rinse it thoroughly with warm water, then rinse the entire handle – especially the brush head connection. Gently clean around the rubber seal and allow everything to dry.
Don’t forget to floss!
Replace your brush head every 3 months as recommended by the NHS.
