My Philips Air Purifier powers off unexpectedly

    Published on 07 March 2024
If your Philips Air Purifier turns off suddenly, there might be a simple solution. Find out how to solve it yourself here.
When the power resumes (e.g. after a power cut), your Philips Air Purifier will restart automatically and revert to the previous mode.
If your Philips Air Purifier comes with the option to pre-set it to shut down, such as a timer on appliances or scheduler in the app, then this may have been set and caused it to turn off. Please check the settings on the appliance timer or the scheduler in the app.
If your Philips Air Purifier has been showing a filter replacement alert for more than two weeks and the filter has not been replaced, it will be locked and shut down.

If this is the case, please replace the filter.
Some air purifier models are designed to switch off when the back door is open.
If the back door is open, please try closing it and make sure that it is properly closed. Your purifier should resume working now.
