Clean design and well madeAfter needing to replace our older Philips TV all due to the requirements of needing an extra HDMI connection we opted for this. It seemed to strike a good balance between price, quality and function.
When it arrived we were not disappointed, removing the pallet and the two boxes it was packed in out came a very thin smart looking TV. After turning it on you are confronted with a short set up menu which is easy to use and clear. The picture quality for HD is fantastic and surprisingly the ambilight is more than just a gimmick. Within a short time of using it you will not want to watch TV without it, it really does enhance the TV experience and reduces eye strain.
So far I can only find one negative and that is the standard EPG menu, after first setting the TV up it seems to use the .net TV page and took a few hours to work out the settings to turn on the normal EPG guides. Philips it could be an idea to default the set up to show the TV guide transmitted via the air rather than an internet page which didn’t work.

Excelent picture, lacking many features that the tv should have... see belowThe TV is a thing of beauty. However almost imediately two of the four HDMI outlets stopped working. The TV needs to be hard wired for internet. It also has only left and right audio outputs, no Optical which is ridiculous in this day and age. The picture however is truly stunning in HD. The sound quality is quite poor however by comparision to the picture quality.

A really good TV, compatible with the latest peripheralsThe TV was easy to set up. It is vital to have a good internet connection, but once this has been obtained, the online features work very well. It is a pity it doesn't have an S-video input.
