My Philips EasyLife vacuum cleaner's suction power is low

    Published on 2021-07-04

If your Philips EasyLife vacuum cleaner's suction power is low, there might be an easy solution. Discover how to improve its performance.

Possible causes and solutions for loss of suction power:

Empty the dust container and clean the filter cone. For optimal performance, empty the dust container and clean the filter cone when the dust container full indicator is switched on.

    Emptying the dust container

To maintain optimal performance, clean the HEPA filter each time you empty the dust container. The HEPA dust container filter is attached to the dust container. The dust container foam filter is placed behind the HEPA dust container filter. Both filters can be rinsed under the tap. Let the filters dry completely before you put them back.

    The HEPA filter

The HEPA Exhaust filter needs to be cleaned every 6 months. If you clean the filter with water, you can rinse it under the tap up to 4 times before you have to replace it with a new Philips HEPA exhaust filter. The filter needs to be replaced every 2 years.

The HEPA exhaust filter can be found under the HEPA exhaust filter grille.

    The HEPA exhaust filter

To maintain optimal performance, clean the motor protection filter at least once a year. The motor protection filter is located in a holder inside the dust container compartment. The filter can be cleaned by shaking it out over a dustbin.

    The motor protection filter

Remove any object that is blocking the air passage in the nozzle, hose or tube.
