My pet is not drinking from my Philips Water Fountain

    Published on 02 April 2024
If your pet is hesitant to drink from or does not drink from the Philips Water Fountain at all, try the following troubleshooting steps to encourage their acceptance and usage.

    Placement

Position the water fountain in a quiet and accessible location where your pet feels comfortable. Avoid placing it near their litter box or food area, as some pets may prefer to have their drinking water separate from these areas

    Familiarisation

Introduce your pet to the water fountain gradually. Allow them to inspect and investigate the fountain at their own pace. You can also encourage them to approach the fountain by placing their favourite toys or treats nearby.

    Cleanliness

Ensure that the water fountain is clean and free from any debris or residue. Pets may avoid drinking from a fountain that appears dirty. Regularly clean the fountain according to the cleaning instructions and replace the filter every 30 days.

    Encouragement

Encourage your pet to drink from the fountain by using positive reinforcement. Reward them with treats or praise when they approach or drink from the fountain. This will help create a positive association with the fountain and encourage continued usage.

Be patient and persistent during the transition period. It may take some time for your pet to get used to the new water fountain. Every pet's preferences are unique. Tailor the use of the product to your pet's comfort and habits. If in doubt, consult your veterinarian.
