How do I use my Instant Feedback: Coverage on my Next-Generation DiamondClean 9000 - 9900?
Your Sonicare toothbrush provides guidance on how long to brush each segment of your mouth, supporting you in achieving complete and even coverage. The light ring gives you instant feedback throughout your brushing session. While you brush, the toothbrush detects the location in your mouth and the light ring glows yellow to indicate any segments that haven't been brushed long enough.
Once you've spent sufficient time cleaning a particular segment, the toothbrush beeps and the light ring glows solid blue to signal that that segment has been thoroughly brushed, alerting you to move on to the next segment. As you move the toothbrush around your mouth, the feedback updates in real time, reflecting whether you have spent long enough time on that segment.
To access or change this Instant Feedback selection:
From the Main Menu, swipe left or right to the Instant Feedback screen and press the Confirm button. Upon first-time use, the default instant feedback for the 9000/9900 Series is Coverage.
If you previously selected a different instant feedback, that selection will be shown on the display. To change it, swipe to your desired instant feedback and press the Confirm button.
Follow these "Brushing Instructions"
Keep the brush head at the correct angle to the gum line.
Finish brushing the current segment before you move on to the next. Your toothbrush will alert you once you have finished brushing the current segment.
Minimise Body Movement
Maintain a steady posture while brushing. Avoid excessive head or body movement, including bending or rotating, which can interfere with sensor accuracy.
Minimise Interruptions During Brushing
Frequently removing and reinserting the toothbrush during a session can disrupt the toothbrush from tracking its location.
To manually improve the accuracy of the Instant Feedback Coverage, brush the inside of the upper or lower front teeth for two seconds to reset the position.
