How do I know when to replace my brush head on the Next-Generation DiamondClean 8000 - 9900?
When you attach a genuine Sonicare smart brush head to your Sonicare toothbrush for the first time, the display will indicate the number of remaining brushing sessions, which is 180, until a brush head replacement is recommended. The "Replace Brush Head -1" message appears when the number of brush head sessions remaining drops below 0. This message reminds the user to change the brush head.
Note: Replace Sonicare brush heads every 3 months to achieve optimal results. Use only Philips Sonicare replacement brush heads.
Your Sonicare toothbrush is equipped with BrushSync technology, which tracks the wear of your brush head. The Brush Head Replacement Reminder will notify you when the number of brush head sessions remaining drops below 0. This feature guarantees the best cleaning and care of your teeth.
By default, the Brush Head Replacement Reminder feature is enabled. To manually turn this feature on or off on your Sonicare toothbrush, follow the steps below:
From Main Menu, swipe left or right to go to the Settings screen.
On the Settings screen, press the Confirm Button to access the Selection Menu.
Swipe to the Replacement Reminder screen and press the Confirm Button. A tick in the top right-hand corner of the screen indicates the current selection.
Swipe to browse On/Off or Exit.
Press the Confirm Button to make your selection. A tick confirms your choice and returns you to the Settings sub-menu. To return to the main Menu, select Exit.
Note: This feature only works with Philips Sonicare smart brush heads with BrushSync technology.
