So simple to use and amazing results every time!
Yes, it's a steep price tag, but if you can afford it, you should go for it - you won't regret it!
I'm not a tidy person, it usually takes a good hour to clear up after one of my meals, but the Homecooker makes it SO easy to clear up as you go along.
You put the first lot of ingredients in, set the timer, get on with any other prep still to do and then just chuck it in when the timer goes off. Bobs your uncle.
In between, you can get on with the clearing away, washing up, filling the dishwasher, emptying the dishwasher, etc without any need to worry about what's in the Homecooker as it's constantly being stirred without the need for even one single human hand.
I cleaned the whole kitchen while making a goulash - for some people, that may not mean much, but for me, that's a once a year kind of feat that I'd only completed two weeks before! I had the time to do something I really don't normally get around to as often as I'd like!
Liberated was how I felt. And how I still feel having been using it now for about a month.
The recipe book has some wonderful and simple recipes (I'll never do a full breakfast the traditional way again).
My only complaint is that there is no information about using the gadget to concoct your own recipes, or rather transfer them to the Homecooker instead of the previous method, whatever that may have been.
I have attempted a bolognese sauce with fantastic results, but I still need to work out the correct times as there's just no help with that sort of thing included.
I must say before I finish that the maximum temperature of 250c is reached in less than 2 minutes, so it's pretty much ready to go from turning on.
I love this device and was worried about where I was going to store it in my kitchen, but it's used almost daily so there's no need to move it off the side!
Thanks Philips and Jamie Oliver for a fantastic product that I look forward to using for a long time to come.

Amazing piece of kit for the kitchen
I really enjoyed using the homecooker. It was extremely easy to use, I loved the fact that you can leave the cooker to stir while I could attend to my dinner guests.
There were many features which I loved about the homecooker. Keeping the cooker at a constant temperature meant I could make sure my ingredients were being cooked in the right way without being overdone.
It was great to have lots of ingredients and food being cooked at the same time without have to move around the kitchen as my kitchen is quite small I found it to be a good space saver.
I lead a very busy lifestyle due to work commitments and have very little time to cook for myself - i found that the homecooker really allowed me to cook quickly and conveniently without hassle, combined with the cutting tower really saved me time in the kitchen.

SIMPLICITY AT ITS BEST ......
As soon as the box arrived I knew it was going to be good.
It looked stylish and had been well thought out, with all the tray layers fitting perfectly.
It's just the right size to take it's place on the worktop, so it's ready to use whenever the mood takes you.
It is so simple to use, even I didn't need to re-read the manual, bit hopeless with too much gadgetry & instructions.
The stirrer, is just great because you set it to temperature, start the stirrer and you can prepare the next ingredient while the Homecooker stirs, so no panic re burning!
The recipe book is super, there is a great selection for all tastes, and also helps you become imaginative with your own ideas.
My one criticism is there aren't enough recipes in the book to help you fully utilise the HomeCooker, as there are no recipes that use the steamer basket for meat or fish, which I'm sure you can. So my project now is to devise some meals to achieve this.
The chopping tower is a great asset, as it perfectly fits against the Homecooker, but as with many electric choppers, it is always difficult to get all the items chopped or sliced evenly.
I'm happily working my way through the recipe book, and have making good use of the Homecooker, even my husband is using it!
Initially I thought the price quite steep, but when I think of its uses, certainly better than a slow cooker, due to stirrer & variable temp., I would certainly recommend it.
Friends have actually commented on how stylish it is and impressed with meals I've produced, So can there be any better praise.

Another quality product from Philips!
The Philips Jamie Oliver HomeCooker is a must have bit of kit for anyone who wants to spend less time in the kitchen whilst still serving up a tasty, wholesome, cooked from scratch meal. I have used mine to cook, curries, risotto, steamed fish, soup and sauces. The brilliant stirring attachment means you don't have to stand and stir a dish constantly - a godsend when making risotto and sauces. Its relatively easy to use - my only complaint is that using the timer doesn't seem that straight forward, but that could just be me! The chopping attachment is brilliant, especially when chopping onions - I haven't cried once! Its sturdy and very easy to dismantle and keep clean - I would urge you to go out and get one, and claim your life back from the drudgery of meal making!!

The social cooker!
When my wife got me the Philips homecooker I was very excited. It claims to be the cooker that cooks itself. Really clever, I initially thought, but then I got to thinking ‘Where’s the fun in that? If ‘it’ cooks the food that well, who will praise me for the meal I prepared and used every pot and pan in the kitchen to make.
Unpacking and assembling the cooker was really easy. It did not look out of place in the kitchen and would easily break down into its various parts for easy storage. I decided that I was going to attempt Jaimie’s Chicken Cacciatore dish from the recipe book included. I prepped the ingredients as per the recipe and grinned with a small hint of satisfaction that this machine still needed me to do the basic things like grind up spices with a pestle and mortar and marinate chicken. Perhaps this is a team event after all.
I have to say that with regards to ease of use this could not be any simpler. Just add the ingredients at the right time and the integral stirrer does the work whilst you get on with your afternoon. (Although it is sad to admit that I watched the stirrer the first couple of times I used the cooker to make sure it was working properly) The timer is fantastic and every meal becomes a simple task if you follow the step by step instructions of adding ingredients, setting the timer, and then adding more ingredients. The food itself is surprisingly tasty, really tasty in fact, and you still get that sense of achievement when your diners compliment the food. The best thing of all is the lack of dirty pots and pans. You simply remove the stirring attachment and pot and put them in the dishwasher.
It is not a cooking appliance that would replace you as a cook, but it is a handy appliance that would allow you to hold a dinner party and at the same time allow you to actually talk to your guests rather than disappear every minute or so to stir the food in the frying pan and pots.
