The CENTURY TAV2000DB is a great little radio with a really charming retro look that makes it stand out straight away. The build quality feels solid and reassuring, and the sound is surprisingly warm and clear for a compact portable unit. Whether you’re listening to DAB, FM, or streaming through Bluetooth, it handles everyday listening really well. The controls are straightforward, the display is easy to read, and the whole thing feels simple and enjoyable to use. It’s the kind of radio you can put anywhere in the house and instantly improve the atmosphere. The only real downside is the battery life. It works, but it doesn’t last as long as you might hope, especially if you use it regularly or turn the volume up. You’ll find yourself charging it more often than expected. For casual home use this isn’t a major issue, but if you want something you can take out for long periods without power, the battery could be better. Overall, the CENTURY TAV2000DB is a lovely portable radio with good sound, a stylish design, and an easygoing personality. If the battery life were a little stronger, it would be close to perfect.

Mooie radio, goed ontvangst en makkelijk te bedienen.

Deze radio is snel geïnstalleerd en aangesloten maakt meteen contact met internet. Het geeft een helder en goed geluid dat fijn in je oren klinkt. Ook het uiterlijk is mooi, het staat bij mij in de keuken en het is net of het er altijd gestaan heeft. Elke ochtend gaat het aan en het blijft de gehele dag aan en dat gaat het goed af.

Gutes Radio mit angenehmen Design. Besonders hervor zu heben ist der Klang der aus diesem kleinen Radio kommt. Bluetooth & DAB funktionieren einwandfrei. Das Gerät empfehle ich jedem, der genau das sucht. Ein Basisgerät mit den nötigsten Funktionen- ohne schnick schnack.

The Janet is a mix of 1950s nostalgia and modern tech. Visually, it is reminiscent of old bakelite radios. It feels solid but light enough to move around, despite the omission of a carry handle. The clear, dimmable LCD display is the standout modern touch that makes reading station info easy without lighting up the entire bedroom at night. Sound-wise, its nice and clear when listening to Talk Radio or Sport, though it is just moderately good with music at high volumes where the bass feels weak. I never expected powerful sound so Im not dissapointed. Usability is excellent; the retro volume knob feels good and the simple buttons feel well made. You can save a limited number favorite radio stations and I like that its limited. I would also note that it picks up more DAB stations than my outgoing radio! The device is charged via USB-C charging, and I find the battery to last almost two weeks with my regular evening use. Crucially, the battery unit is user-replaceable! a rare sustainability win that adds years to the device's life. Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity is included though I personally dont need this, I think The Janet is a charming, future-proof bedside companion that successfully balances vintage style with modern everyday practicality.

Met het uit de doos halen was ik eigenlijk verbaast dat er enkel een oplaadkabel bij geleverd wordt. Deze radio is dus echt vooral bedoeld om op accu te gebruiken. Dit is wel heel fijn voor een DAB radio, want de ontvangst in huis is vaak wisselend. Ik zet hem momenteel binnen een meter van een raam en hier is de ontvangst echt perfect! Het geluid vind ik ook erg goed voor zo'n kleine speaker. Perfect voor een kleine kamer. Het enige nadeel vind ik dat de batterij na een week uit staan leeg is. Dit doet nogal af aan het portable deel van de radio. Gelukkig wil ik hem voornamelijk thuis gebruiken, maar zeker iets om rekening mee te houden als je er aan denk deze aan te schaffen

Een erg fijne radio! Je kunt er snel mee uit te voeten, voor een top geluid! Fijn dat je hem kunt koppelen aan je mobiel, voor je eigen playlist. Enig nadeel vind ik dat wanneer je hem op wilt laden, de radio erg stoort. Sowieso een stabiele plek zoeken, want stoort ook op bewegingen. Het geluid is erg mooi en het design is ook erg passend in mijn interieur. Erg blij mee!

Luxe uitstraling voor een retro radio. Er zit wel een kleine kanttekening aan dat je hem wel steeds goed neer moet zetten op de goede plek voor het geluid/ontvangst hij zoekt naar mijn idee te vaak naar de goede frequentie

La funzione BT è davvero simpatica per poter usare la radio per sentire la musica dal proprio smartphone, però l'audio non è estremamente profondo e l'uso a volumi alti non è consigliato (non si sente benissimo). La funzione DAB è molto interessante e funziona bene anche dentro casa. Avrei gradito anche un INGRESSO AUX per poter usare la radio come speaker del mio computer tramite filo.
