i9000 Prestige Ultra

I have owned and used Philips electric shavers for probably 35 years and never considered buying a shaver by any other manufacturer. Once you have used the triple rotating cutter heads I can't see why you would want to change. I particularly like the pressure sensor lights on this model.

A brilliant razor, it's as good as a wet razor. The charging system is great as it keeps its charged.

This shaver is really good! I'll go over what I love about it but to start and probably most importantly for my wife, it's incredibly quiet compared to my old 15 year old model so I don't wake her up in the morning! In all seriousness, it is nice and quiet which is no bad thing. I love the shave it gives too, I've always had sensitive skin and my old Philips shaver was the only one I found that didn't leave me red and blotchy. This one, though arguably harsher as it gives a much closer shave, is actually very good. The first couple of shaves I felt a little sore afterwards but it didn't leave my skin red or blotchy and actually, 20 or so shaves in, I use it on the intensive mode without any problems(I'd always recommend a post shave moisturiser afterwards anyway if you have sensitive skin. The shave, as I say, is the closest I've ever had and I can honestly say I can stroke my face and not feel any remaining stubble. I bought a pack that came with the quick clean pod and I have to say, it's a great idea, actually very simple but very effective at cleaning the shaver and leaving it fresh for the next shave. I usually leave it on the pod for a while after it's done to let the fluid drip off and dry before I put it on charge again. It's lightweight in the hand but feels well built with some rubber to help with grip etc. It definitely feels like a quality shaver. I like it using USB to charge rather than an older shaver plug as most bathrooms these days seem to lack the sockets and it means I place the shaver wherever I like. Over all I'm pleased with the value for money, I did get it significantly cheaper than the RRP on sale which obviously doesn't hurt, but I do feel it's a quality product and I don't regret anything about the product so far and would recommend to anyone looking at getting one.

I have used numerous electric shavers over 30 years!!! Even plain razors! This is the best closest shave I can have. Cleaning, storing, monitoring processes are brilliant. Thank you Philips for the Innovation!

Best shaver that I have ever used, quick, clean and convenient. I was very sceptical of the app but now find it very useful and it gave me access to the optional 7 year warranty. Similarly the cleaning pod is effective and I use it every day.

Wow.. a big improvement in terms of speed, area and efficiency of cutting, love the lights, easier to clean and maintain and huge battery...

Having used a foil shaver for many years I wanted to try a rotary, at the great price offered I couldn’t say no, and I don’t regret it one bit having now been fully converted to my prestige ultra best save ever and so easy to maintain, no shaving rash any more! Great service off Phillips too

The Philips XP9405 is a fantastic product that gives you one of the closest shaves I have ever had from a had held electric razor. It’s looks good is easy to use and has it own app which you can use to see how your shaving skills are. It s a lightweight easy to use shaver and easy to charge on it’s own desk charging unit. The unit comes with its own app which will tell you all types of things like when to clean and are you using the correct pressure on your face that will give you a good shave This shaver is the best of the best it’s not the cheapest on the street but if your look for an electric razor that gives you a shave as good as any wet razor, then this is the one for you.
