SoftBlue Technology: for comfortable viewing

SoftBlue Technology: for comfortable viewing

SoftBlue technology offers increased visual comfort and protection against adverse health effects caused by prolonged exposure to blue light. With the low blue-light panel, the ratio of display emission light in the range of 415-455 nm to 400-500nm is reduced to less than 50%. As a result, SoftBlue technology provides optimal visual comfort, minimises eye strain and supports sustained focus. Furthermore, SoftBlue LED technology has been tested and certified by TÜV Rheinland as a Low Blue Light (Hardware Solution) for its effectiveness in reducing blue-light emissions.

Eyesafe certified blue light protection and colour accuracy

Eyesafe certified blue light protection and colour accuracy

The Philips display meets the eyesafe® CERTIFIED 2.0 standard to truly protect you from prolonged exposure to blue light. The always-on blue light filter not only helps reduce digital eye strain, but also guarantees colour integrity.

Pricy monitor with solid business features

Pricy monitor with solid business features: ergonomic, >90W power USB-C, up to 120Hz, KVM switch, RJ45, USB Hub, SmartLight, SmartPower and low blue light per default. Very important because of the reported sharpness for business / non-gaming use case, which I was also facing: 1. Change the setting: USB Setting -> USB-C Setting to High-Resolution (default is High Speed) 2. Try to reduce the monitor update rate in your operating system to 60Hz; check your bit depth not exceeding 8bit Explanation: 100Hz and 120Hz have higher bandwidth and may exceed the used USB-C bandwidth (this depends on your laptop chipset and the used features: 4 lanes USB-C 3.2 Gen2 reach ~26Gbit/s and the monitor uses 2 for video up to 13Gbit/s + 2 for USB up to 10Gbit/s). Remark for gamers with 120Hz: you better not use the USB-C for video to circumvent bandwidth limitation by USB-C. Laptop use case: change the setting USB Setting -> USB Standby Mode -> On (default Off) so that the USB devices on the USB hub are still powered. There is even more in general when using KVM with USB hubs and resulting incompatibilities in general for sleep modes, etc. like Windows Power Settings (PCIe, USB energy settings).

Pros

Mooi breed scherm

Cons

Nog niets kunnen proberen
